Associated road works
Since 2008 road works have taken place around the Majura Valley and Canberra International Airport in preparation for the Majura Parkway construction.
The following road projects are now complete:
- Pialligo Avenue upgrade;
- new traffic signals at Beltana Road/Pialligo Avenue/Fairbairn Avenue intersection to replace the previous roundabout;
- new traffic signals at Monaro Highway/Morshead Drive/Pialligo Avenue intersection to replace the previous roundabout; and
- construction of a second bridge over Woolshed Creek.
The community will be notified of other associated road works and possible road closures upon commencement of construction for the Majura Parkway.
Works are currently underway on the Monaro Highway, between Canberra Avenue and Newcastle Street, to complement the Majura Parkway project.
